Laboratory Scientific Method Lab Format
Follow the format below for your laboratory write up. It must be typed and you must make a cover page with a graphic and your name. Be creative! Use this as the cover for your lab report. You still must have all answers filled in on lab report.
1. Title page
2. Hypothesis-use your notes from your lab. This should be a tentative statement explaining the expected relationship between what is tested.
3. Material and Methods- list all materials used in this lab and the methods you used to do this experiment.
4. Data Collected-use your chart with recorded results and if you plotted a graph it goes here too.
5. Discussions and Conclusions- Relate back to your title and hypothesis. Note here whether your data supports or does not support your hypothesis.
You also need to include an explanation of how or why this conclusion follows from the data you collected.
6. Suggestions for improvement- Discuss any possible sources of error that made your experiment less reliable.
